We are so happy to have a range of work by Iain Hodgkinson, a highly talented Printmaker based in Northamptonshire. Iain's work consists of textural, aesthetic forms which are both abstract and reprensentational. He uses a variety of techniques including collographs, etching, lino and woodcuts onto prepared mixed backgrounds. Each print that Iain produces is a one-off, no two are ever exactly alike. The processes he uses mean that every print from the limited edition is unique, many of the editions are very small due to the nature of his techniques.
A new artist to Dotty Gallery, I'm delighted to have two pieces of work by Robin. Both oil on board, they are Early Morning Haze at Cayton Bay, near Scarborough and Last Light, also Cayton Bay. Read more about Robin in the 'Artists' section.

Another painting by award winning Rutland artist Philip Dawson has been delivered today. The dramatic Lax Hill, Rutland Water (mixed media) has been float mounted and measures 83cm x 81cm framed. Two smaller pieces by Philip are also available in the gallery, incuding Old Hall, Hambleton and Bird Hide II, Barnsdale Wood.
A brand new range of jewellery to Dotty Gallery arrived this morning. Designed and handmade by Gloucester based Anna Backman, this striking jewellery is going to make a fabulous addition to the contemporary range of jewellery available at Dotty Gallery. Anna is inspired by ecclesiastical architecture, new and old, and her jewellery captures the linear qualities within the architecture as she reproduces them in her intricate pieces. This range is available to buy in the gallery and will be available in the on-line shop very soon.
Award winning Philip Dawson is the latest artist to exhibit his work in Dotty Gallery. Philip is based in Rutland and the three pieces in Dotty are based on local scenes, namely Bird Hide II, Barnsdale Wood (pictured), The Hall at Hambleton and Autumn Trees in Barnsdale Wood. More about Philip and his work to follow ...

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to everyone! Thank you all for your support during these first tentative weeks of my new business. I'm very much looking forward to seeking out new ideas, artists and designs and sharing them with you next year.
I have just four pieces of the handmade Acorn collection from Charlie High Design, a pair of stud earrings, a one cup ring, a two cup ring and a bangle. They really have to be seen to appreciate them fully - they're so different.
