Felted Winter Landscapes

The workshop will run from 10 - 4pm and you will receive step-by-step tuition from Alison who will help you create your own, beautiful, unique felted winter landscape from carded merino wool, silk fibres, yarns and more.

The workshop costs £55 and is limited to 6 people.

Getting the most from your smartphone camera (1 space)

An informal workshop which will explore how to get the very best from your smartphone camera.

We'll begin by looking at the basic principles of photography and composition, then dive a little deeper into the settings of the camera app itself, explaining terms such as HDR, 4:3/16:9, Raw and JPEG as we go. There'll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and take pictures, and we'll also look at some extra apps for tweaking your photos. 

Make sure your bring your smartphone, fully charged and with plenty of free space!

Lino Print Wildlife Theme

A 'hands on' day of lino printing with a wildlife theme which is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. 

Richard will go through the process inlcuding use of cutting tools. Once the blocks have been cut, they will be inked and printed through the press. You're welcome to bring along any images you would like to use and there will be some available on the day. There will be the option to add some colour to the print by means of masking parts of teh design.All materials provided. The workshop runs 10 - 4pm and costs £45.

Seascape Felted Vase (with glass liner)

On this felt making workshop you will learn how to make a beautiful and vibrant felt sleeve, drawing on the colours and feel of a seascape scene. 

It will then be moulded and shaped to fit a glass liner and so increasing its usefulness and stability. There will be lots of beautiful coloured merino wool to choose from as as well as yarns, silks and other fibres. The glass liner is included in the cost. You will make one vase measuring approx 40 cm x 10cm. The workshop runs 10 - 4pm and costs £65

Rag Rug Cushions

Learn the traditional craft of rag rugging and make a beautiful cushion for your home. You will use 'upcycled' fabrics including wool, denim, cotton and velvet. (However, if you have particular fabric you'd like to use, just bring it along).

You will learn how to use a 'bodger'.

Hedgerow Willow Class

Explore the ancient craft of basketmaking, creating beautiful and useful structures. We will use richly coloured willows and dogwoods gathered from the hedgerows and woods to make produce baskets, sculptures and plant supports just in time for the spring garden. 

The workshop begins at 10am and costs £55 to include all materials.

Make Your Own Drum Lampshade

Make a professionally rolled-edge, 30cm drum lampshade for a table lamp or pendant in the fabric of your choice. 

All equipment and tools are provided, participants need to bring along their own light or medium weight fabric (avoid silk and stripes) measuring at least 50cm x 1m.
