Numbers for each workshop are kept small, so booking is essential. These workshops can also be purchased as gifts. 

Silver Ring and Earrings (1 space)

Silver Ring and Earrings

With Zoe Ruth   £70

This is a double workshop in which you will get to make a single silver ring and a pair of either hook or stud earrings. Learn how to texture, saw, shape, file, solder and polish. Starting at the design process and ending up with your finished handmade jewellery.

Zoe will take you through each step of designing and making your own jewellery. 

The workshop will run 11 - 4pm and costs £70

Fused Glass Birch Tree Panel (spaces)

This themed session covers the use of liquid glass, frit and sheet glass as you follow a step-by-step process to produce your own birch tree planel measuring 20 - 24cm either free standing as an arch or standing in a handmade wooden stand (additional £8). Add a dichroic dragonfly flitting between if you wish.

This session will run 1 - 3pm and costs £45

Silver Stacking Rings (full)

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make up to three skinny rings using a variety of textures to pattern the surface. Learn how to texture, saw, shape, file, solder and polish, starting at the design process and ending up with your finished handmade rings.

The session will run 1 - 4pm and cost £55 and spaces are limited to just four people.

Getting the most from your smartphone camera (Spaces)

An informal workshop which will explore how to get the very best from your smartphone camera.

We'll begin by looking at the basic principles of photography and composition, then dive a little deeper into the settings of the camera app itself, explaining terms such as HDR, 4:3/16:9, Raw and JPEG as we go. There'll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and take pictures, and we'll also look at some extra apps for tweaking your photos. 

Make sure your bring your smartphone, fully charged and with plenty of free space!

Torn Paper Collage - Any Subject (Spaces)

With Danielle Vaughan    £45

You will create a still life composition 45cm square image using ripped paper. Danielle will guide you through how to create your colourful torn paper, giving tips and demonstrations in this fun workshop. Composition, creating depth and using text and pattern will be aspects that are covered. Varnishing and framing options will be discussed. You will take home a finished collage at the end of the day!  You're free to choose your own subject matter, though Danielle will bring along images for inspiration.

The workshop runs 10 - 3pm and costs £45

Wet Felted Handbag/Bookbag (Spaces)

With Alison Linnell   £60

Make a seamless felt bag from pure merino wool, with a hidden inside pocket and integrated handles. Particularly suitable for those who have had some experience of wet-felting. Lots of beautiful colours to choose from. Step-by-step instructions given.

All materials are included in the cost, but Alison would be grateful if you could bring along an old bath towel to work on and a plastic bag to take things home in. Come prepared to give your arms a workout as this is quite a physical craft!

The workshop runs 10 - 4pm.
