Numbers for each workshop are kept small, so booking is essential. These workshops can also be purchased as gifts. 

Repurposed Vintage Piece (Spaces)

Repurposed Cutlery Tray

With Cherry Abrams    £40   3.5 hours

Spend an afternoon using all manner of repurposed vintage treasures to decorate a small piece of upcycled wooden furniture which will be provided for you.

You will be able to choose from a wealth of material, including vintage books, cards, magazines, ribbon, fabric, buttons and paper.

The piece will involve some very simple cutting and sticking, your imagination and lots of fun!

You will create a unique and individual piece to take home.

All materials, tools and guidance will be provided.

Fused Glass Projects (FULL)

With Ali Ward     £15 plus materials used 

Find out about glass and fusing techniques. Then, with guidance, choose from a range of glass types to build up your design.

Ali will give a short talk, then it's a self indulgent couple of hours of rifling through wonderful glass in its many forms and colours. Finally, decide which fuse finish you'd like to complete your own unique pieces. No artistic talent is needed and you're guaranteed to create some simply gorgeous arty pieces. Your art will be fused in Ali's kiln and delivered back to Dotty a week later. 

Getting the most from your smartphone camera! (spaces)

With Peter Marsh   £50

An informal workshop which will explore how to get the very best from your smartphone camera. We'll begin by looking at the basic principles of photography and composition, then dive a little deeper iinto teh settings of the camera app itself, explaining terms such as HDR, 4:3/17:9, Raw and JPEG as we go. 

There'll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and take pictures, and we'll also look at some extra apps for tweaking your photos. Make sure you bring your smartphone, fully charged and with plenty of free space!

Lino Print Wildlife Theme with a touch of colour (Spaces)

Lino Print Workshop

With Richard Jarvis    £50

A 'hands on' day of linoprinting with a wildlife theme which is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Richard will go through the process including use of cutting tools. Once the blocks have been cut, they will be inked and printed through the press. You're welcome to bring along any images you would like to use and there will be some available for inspiration on the day. All materials are provided. Refreshments and cake included. This workshop runs from 10 - 4pm and costs £50.

Vintage Linen Wall Hanging (Spaces)

Spend the day creating a unique piece of art. You will make a beautiful wall hanging using all manner of repurposed vintage loveliness.

You can choose from heaps of fabric, buttons, ribbons, cards, tiny treasures and rubber stamps. The piece will involve some very simple sewing, your imagination and lots of fun. The item can be easily personalised and would be perfect for a gift, if of course you could bear to give it away ...

All equipment, materials and guidance will be provided.


The session runs 10 - 4pm and costs £60

Make Your Own Silver Bangle (spaces)

Silver Bangle Workshop

With Zoe Ruth    £65

Choose from a selection of sterling silver wire to create a bangle that is perfect for you. Zoe will guide you through the sawing, texturing, forming and soldering to create something personal to you. There's no restriction on size for those who find that standard high street sizes are always too large or too smal.

The workshop runs 1.30pm - 5pm and costs £65

Silver Stacking Rings (spaces)

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make up to three skinny rings using a variety of textures to pattern the surface. Learn how to texture, saw, shape, file, solder and polish, starting at the design process and ending up with your finished handmade rings.

The session will run 1 - 4pm and cost £55 and spaces are limited to just four people.

Wet Felted Picture Sunflower or Poppy Fields (Spaces)

Wet Felted Sunflower Fields

With Alison Linnell   £55

Learn the art of wet felting using merino wool, silks and yarns to create your own felted sunflower or poppy themed picture. No experience is needed as Alison will demonstrate each stage and take you through the process step by step.

Lots of images and source materials are provided or you're welcome to bring along your own pictures as inspiration. Please bring an old bath towel to work on and a hand towel.

Autumn Willow Projects (spaces)

Willow Basket

With Jean Savage     £55

Explore the ancient craft of basketmaking for a day creating beautiful useful baskets or willow structures for the home and garden. 

Using coloured willows, dogwoods and materials gathered from the hedgerow, you can choose what you make on the day. Make a variety of baskets, obelisks or bird sculptures, willow spheres to hang in trees or fairy houses for the bottom of the garden - all perfect for lighting up at Christmas time too !  Smaller projects include woven bird houses, bark boxes or a bramble purse sewn with  nettle thread.
