Run by Lesley Harris in what used to be the old bakery in Twyford, Leicestershire - Dotty Gallery is a showcase for contemporary silver jewellery (including the unusual!), ceramics, gifts, original art and greetings cards - items not usually found on the high street. Dotty has two showrooms plus a small gallery.

Much of the work is hand made by artisans from around the country, so if you are looking for something different, come along, grab a complementary coffee, wander around the shop and enjoy! If you see some pieces that you particularly like, you're welcome to leave a 'wish list' with Lesley and for Christmas or special occasions, invite your family and friends to pop to the shop and select a gift that they know you will love.

Dotty is situated in the picturesque village of Twyford, directly opposite the church and next door to The Saddle Inn.

A short drive through beautiful rolling countryside, not far from Melton, Oakham, Syston and surrounding villages. Lesley hopes you will visit Dotty soon for that coffee and a browse and looks forward to meeting you.

Creative Workshops at Dotty Gallery

Fused Glass Art Workshop

I'm delighted to say that Dotty Gallery is continuing to host lots of Creative Workshops over the coming weeks and months. Participant number for all workshops are kept deliberately small so that you are guaranteed to get the invidiual instruction required when learning a new craft. All workshops are suitable for complete beginners, they're relaxed and there is inevitably homemade cake served at some point in the proceedings.  See the Workshop section of this website for a list of what is coming up ...  more will be added soon and throughout the year.

Linda Warrick Ceramics

Porcelaine by Linda Warrick

Adorning the shelves of Dotty Gallery is a new range of ceramics. Linda is renowned for her semi-abstract porcelaine birds that are characterized by their purity of form.  Linda's inspiration is drawn from contant observation of form combined with watching the birds themselves. Each piece is burnished before firing, then smoked in sawdust. The result? Wonderful!

Xuella Arnold Jewellery

Xuella Arnold Hare Pendants

Following Lesley's recent visit to the British Craft Trade Fair, she now has a collection of beautiful silver and bronze jewellery by talented silversmith Xuella Arnold.

Iain Hodgkinson, Printmaker

Seaside Shelter, Iain Hodgkinson

We are so happy to have a range of work by Iain Hodgkinson, a highly talented Printmaker based in Northamptonshire. Iain's work consists of textural, aesthetic forms which are  both abstract and reprensentational. He uses a variety of techniques including collographs, etching, lino and woodcuts onto prepared mixed backgrounds. Each print that Iain produces is a one-off, no two are ever exactly alike. The processes he uses mean that every print from the limited edition is unique, many of the editions are very small due to the nature of his techniques.

Robin Mason

Morning Haze, Cayton Bay - oil on board by Robin Mason

A new artist to Dotty Gallery, I'm delighted to have two pieces of work by Robin. Both oil on board, they are Early Morning Haze at Cayton Bay, near Scarborough and Last Light, also Cayton Bay. Read more about Robin in the 'Artists' section.
