Kendrick is an award winning Artist and Art tutor based in Leicestershire, his experience and approach is designed to engage and develop creativity in a variety of different ways. His artwork has been, for the most part, focussed on landscape – exploring all the moods, atmospheres and changes of season that can been witnessed during the year. He has found immense creative purpose since starting to develop his practice in a more personal creative direction after many years in a commercial environment.
The work focuses on specific responses to the world and its impact on him as an individual, sometimes obliquely in abstract form and also in a more traditional manner. All of the works are at once a question and answer in their own space and right. The artworks are often developed quickly on site and then worked on in different spheres in the studio. This fluid movement aims to create art in as many varied ways as possible.
Kendrick has exhibited widely both locally and nationally, with The Federation of British Artists, The Chaiya Art Awards OXO Tower London, The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, The Pastel Society, Society for Graphic Fine Art, Royal Society of Marine Artists and as part of the ING Discerning eye all at Mall Galleries in London. With solo shows at Sock Gallery, Loughborough, LCB depot as winner of the L.O.V.E Art prize, The Great Meeting Chapel, We Are Gallery, Leicester, and as part of group shows at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery, The Gallery, Holt, Norfolk, and also at The Barn Gallery, Patchings Art centre as part of The Artist Magazine exhibition.
