In this workshop you will be able to make a collection of three pumpkins.
The first small one will be solid so that you will be able to practice turning a sphere into a flatter, divided form and attaching a short stalk.
The second pumpkin will be constructed from two pinch pots to create a hollow form which will require more delicate handling to modify it’s shape. You will also practice creating a longer and twisted stalk.
The largest pumpkin will be made using the coiling technique to create a more robust form. You will then be shown how to create leaf forms and also shape and twist a longer more convoluted stalk.
The pumpkins will then be dired and bisque fired (1000’C). They will then be glazed and fired in stoneware temperature (1250’C) and will be rady for collection on 18th October.
